Stortford Next For U's

30 July 2014

Final friendly for Joe's men.

Colchester United will travel to Bishop's Stortford on Wednesday evening as they bring their pre-season friendlies to a close.

The team have scored some 33 goals so far in their friendly games, with boss Joe Dunne having seen plenty from his side at both ends of the pitch ahead of the new season.

They conclude their friendly schedule with the match against Stortford, who gave the U's a good test when the two teams came face to face this time last year.

The U's will take a strong squad to the ProKit UK Stadium on Wednesday, with the players who had less game time against Luton on Tuesday expected to get longer on the pitch this time around.

The squad includes Alex Gilbey on his return from injury and Marcus Bean on his own quest for fitness, whilst it is also supplemented by a number of the U21s squad who have scored so freely in pre-season.

The game kicks off at 7.45pm.

U's: Walker, Lewington, Olufemi, Kent, Roast, Andrews, O'Donoghue, Bean, Gilbey, Lapslie, Curtis, Vose, Drey Wright, Watt, Massey, Szmodics, Bonne, Nwachuku
