Striker Dan Holman pens U's deal.
The U’s have signed Dan Holman to further bolster their ranks ahead of the new season.
Holman has spent the past two seasons at Braintree Town in the Skrill Premier but now makes the step up to League One football.
The striker has put pen to paper on a two year contract, subject to approval by the relevant authorities, and joined his new teammates in training this week.
Having come to the end of his contract at Cressing Road, the twenty four year old, who scored twenty four goals for The Iron, turned down the offer of a further deal and Joe Dunne snapped him up.
The U’s boss was pleased with the addition to his squad, saying: “Dan is a player we have watched on many occasions over the past two seasons and we’re delighted we were able to bring him in.
“He gives us another option in the forward areas of the pitch and has the ability to create and score goals for us.”
