Council want your views on north Colchester redevelopment.

As part of the proposed Northern Gateway Development to the north of the town centre, Colchester Council is inviting local residents to attend one of their forthcoming public exhibitions to help shape this exciting new project.

Colchester is a fast growing place and it's important that local people have all they need to enjoy and get the most from their lives here.

There are plans in North Colchester for a completely new fun and adventure space for local people and visitors alike.  From walking and cycling to extreme sports, the area around the Weston Homes Community Stadium will fast become a 'must go' place.

North Colchester is all about healthy active lifestyles and leisure time, spending it with friends and family, having a go at new things, doing business meeting new people and creating great memories together.

The Stadium is there already and there are plans for a David Lloyd Leisure Club which specialises in racquet sports as well as other types of sport and fitness.

The Council also have an ambition for a velo park, rugby and tennis facilities and a mountain bike course but what other leisure facilities and businesses would you like to see in this area?

"The Council is in a position to make a real and beneficial difference. Please come along to one of the exhibitions and talk to Planning and Regeneration officers from the Council. It is important we know what you think so we ensure we get the right solution for our area."
