Mark Cousins and David Wright have all had deals put to them and Dunne feels that the next few weeks will see his proposed squad come together further.
He told U's Player: "We had talks with them right up until the offers went to them and that is where we have left it.
"I'm pretty sure that they're still away with their families at the moment and things don't start to hot up until players come back.
"We're into June now and things start to move a little bit quicker in the second half of June.
"Players want to be at clubs for the beginning of pre-season so in that period of a couple of weeks, things will progress quickly."
