Colchester United enjoyed one of its most amazing nights yet, as it welcomed global superstar Elton John to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
In front of an appreciative crowd of around 16,500 people, Elton worked his way through a repertoire of classic songs from his illustrious career to get everybody dancing.
By the second half of an extensive set, he had the crowds dancing in the aisles and even had time to take a selfie on one fan's phone and sign autographs between songs.
The U's first step into the entertainment world looks like it has been a successful one and Elton's efforts on stage will no doubt have the East Anglian public clamouring for more in the future.
