The U's paid a special visit on Friday to bring some cheer to two young boys who live close by to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.Brothers Josh and Jake Faulkner were involved in an road accident last week and spent time in hospital.
Fortunately, both boys were able to return home following a short stay.
Whilst not being fully fit to return to school, the boys wanted to visit their classmates on Friday and had two surprise visitors.
Brian Wilson and Alex Gilbey went along and presented the boys with tickets for the U's game against Coventry at the weekend.

Alex said of the visit: "“It was horrible to hear that Josh and Jake had had this accident and inviting them to a game is the least we could do.
"It was great to see that they are recovering and it looked like all the other kids were really pleased to see them. We are only round the corner so we are very much part of this community.
"The players understand that and we enjoy coming out to schools and clubs around Colchester."
