League Line-Up Complete

26 May 2014

U's now know complete set of teams for 2014/15.

Colchester United now know their opponents for the 2014/15 season, after the weekend's play-off games confirmed the final two teams to be in League One next time around.

Leyton Orient, for so long one of the high-fliers in 2013/14, were to suffer penalty shoot-out heart break as they fell to defeat against Rotherham United, who made it back to back promotions under Steve Evans.

Then, on Monday, Fleetwood continued their remarkable rise up the football pyramid with a sixth promotion in nine years to reach League One. A late goal was enough to beat Burton 1-0.

It means there is a relatively northern feel to the division - the line-up is as follows:-

Barnsley (relegated from the Championship)
Bradford City
Bristol City
Chesterfield (promoted from League Two)
Coventry City
Crawley Town
Crewe Alexandra
Doncaster Rovers (relegated from the Championship)
Fleetwood Town (promoted from League Two)
Gillingham
Leyton Orient
MK Dons
Notts County
Oldham Athletic
Peterborough United
Port Vale
Preston North End
Rochdale (promoted from League Two)
Scunthorpe United (promoted from League Two)
Sheffield United
Swindon Town
Walsall
Yeovil Town (relegated from the Championship)

We'll be looking into the division in more depth in the next few days!
