Morrison and O'Toole find new clubs.
Two former Colchester United players have been on the move on Thursday.
Striker Clinton Morrison, who left the U's in the summer, has joined Exeter City on non-contract terms ahead of their weekend game against Accrington Stanley.
And John-Joe O'Toole, who departed the Weston Homes Community Stadium at the end of the 2012/13 season, has joined Essex neighbours Southend United on loan until the end of January.
He will come up against parent club Northampton Town twice in that spell at Roots Hall.
