It was a second successive draw for Colchester United's U21s on Monday afternoon, as they shared the spoils with Brentford.
Sammie Szmodics was the U's key man, as he grabbed both goals in a 2-2 draw.
After a goalless first half, the U's took the lead on 48 minutes when Sammie calmly beat the Brentford keeper.
But a quick fire double put the home side in front as first Montell Moore and then Josh Clarke notched in the space of three minutes to turn the game on its head.
The U's persisted, though, and got their rewards ten minutes from time when Szmodics curled home a delightful effort to make it 2-2.
That extends the U21s recent good run, with just one defeat in their last four matches.
