A Day To Remember

24 September 2014

A great birthday treat for one fan.

Having watched an entertaining 0-0 draw, John Ruse, who was part of Richard's group, wrote to tell us: "

The 2014/15 campaign has seen us welcome a whole host of guests to enjoy a matchday in style and, on Saturday, Richard Speller and his guests were able to make the most of being Match Sponsor for the visit of the Bantams as Richard celebrated his birthday.

Our match sponsors for the game against Bradford City have been full of praise for their visit on Saturday.

"I have to say that we were all very impressed with the layout of the stadium and our suite on the day, right on the half-way line, could not have been better.

Ten of us arrived on the day and were given a quick look around the dressing rooms, the kit room, the executive suites etc, before being shown to our room.

For more information about how you and your friends can have a great day out, call us on 01206 752020 or e-mail commercial@colchesterunited.net. We look forward to hearing from you!

What's more, you can add beers, and food such as pies and wedges to your package to ensure that you have a day to remember - all whilst cheering the U's onto victory.

A matchday in one of our executive suites is a great way for you and your mates to enjoy the Col U experience.

"So all in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience which was managed in a professional and competent fashion by your personnel and one which we would highly recommend to everyone."

"He visited our suite after the game to collect his award and seemed to be a smashing fella, he chatted away as if he’d known us all for years!

"Richard awarded the Man of the Match Award to George Moncur who looked outstanding in the second half.

"The game didn’t yield any goals, but I felt that your second half performance will give you plenty to carry forward into the rest of what will be a challenging season.

"Our meal was absolutely first class and all ten of us were still complimenting the whole experience well into the evening. The 'goodie bags' were a nice touch too!

"The staff who were charged with looking after us on the day were quite excellent, particularly a young lady called Charlotte who made sure that all of our requirements were attended to promptly - and did it all with a smile on her face.
