Hundreds Attend FITC Day

7 April 2015

Children enjoy community event.

Hundreds of additional children were in attendance at the U's Football in the Community Day for the match against Barnsley on Monday.

Children who have attended our Term Time courses and the FITC development centres came along to the big game against the Tykes.

They got the chance to play on the hallowed turf at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, both at half time and after the memorable 3-1 victory.

One lucky child was able to present the ball to referee Keith Hill and participate in the pre-match handshakes, whilst others helped us with our Kick It Out Day by holding up the banner as the two teams emerged from the tunnel.

After a successful first Football in the Community Day, there will be a similar day in the 2015/16 fixture list, so keep your eyes open for the next event!
