Drey At The Double

24 August 2015

Winger grabs two in win at Bristol.

Drey's first goal came after just nine minutes.

And whilst the second half was more evenly contested, the first half double from Drey Wright was enough to secure victory for John McGreal's men.

On a wet afternoon at City's training ground, the U's put in an impressive first half display to establish a two goal lead at the break.

Colchester United U21s made it back to back wins on Monday afternoon, as they saw off Bristol City.

Good work by Louis Dunne out wide saw him send over a low cross and Drey made no mistake to convert and give the visitors the lead.

The U's continued to press and they doubled their advantage five minutes before the interval.

The goal came from the penalty spot, although it took Drey two bites of the cherry to grab his second of the game after City goalkeeper Woolacott saved his initial effort.

The U21s were then able to keep the Robins at bay in the second half, ensuring they followed up last week's win against Birmingham with another three points.

Next up is a home game, with the visit of Charlton to the Weston Homes Community Stadium in a 2pm kick-off on Bank Holiday Monday.
