We welcome Cancer Research to WHCS.
The match will see us welcome Cancer Research's local Relay for Life team to the stadium for our latest charity collection.
Saturday sees Colchester United take on Scunthorpe United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in our latest League One clash.Relay For Life is an overnight community event that celebrates cancer survivors, remembers those lost and rallies everyone to fight back so we can see a day where all cancers are cured.
John Dyer of Relay for Life tells us: "This year is our third relay in Colchester!
"Our Relay teams organise fund-raising events, then come together for an overnight celebration and commemoration.
"Teams are typically 8-15 people (friends, family, colleagues). One member of each team is on the track for the entire (non-athletic) relay.

"We celebrate cancer survivors, they are our guests of honour. We support our teams throughout Relay with live entertainment, themed laps and surprises on the day.
"We're delighted that for the third year, Colchester United will be supporting us, by sending over some players to help us with one of our themed laps where we 'tackle cancer'!
"At dusk we hold a moving candle of hope ceremony. Candle bags both in memory of those who have passed to cancer, along with those celebrating those who have survived cancer, are illuminated around the track."
COME ALONG ON THE DAY to both support the Relayers and enjoy the family fun day!
Visitors are welcome at the Colchester Garrison Athletics track from 11am to 11pm on Saturday 5th September. We hope to see you there!
