U's Without Walker

14 August 2015

Parish set to step in for weekend clash.

Colchester United travel to Peterborough at the weekend for their first away game of the season, without goalkeeper Sam Walker.

Sam is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after injuring his knee in the midweek cup defeat to Reading.

That opens the door for Elliott Parish to start between the sticks, after he came on as substitute in that match against the Royals.

Chris Porter is likely to miss the game at the ABAX Stadiu with an ankle injury, although he is only due to be out short term as the season begins to take shape.

George Elokobi travels to Cambridgeshire after playing 45 minutes for the U21s last Monday, as the U's look to notch their first three points of the season.

U's: Parish, Lewington, Vincent-Young, Olufemi, Brindley, Briggs, Eastman, Wynter, Kent, Elokobi, Edwards, Ambrose, Gilbey, Moncur, Massey, Szmodics, Wright, Holman, Sembie-Ferris, Bonne
