Walker Injury Blow

11 August 2015

Keeper set for extended spell on sidelines.

Colchester United goalkeeper Sam Walker is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, after he injured his knee in the cup defeat against Reading.

The U's keeper had made an impressive start to the game against the Royals, but could now be out for the season.

Speaking after the game, boss Tony Humes said: "We understand it's a cruciate ligament problem, so that's probably the season for Sam.

"He started really well in the game, but one little movement did it - we'll seek specialist advice on the prognosis."
