Former player passes away.
Colchester United were saddened to hear of the recent passing of former player John Harrison.
John passed away last Friday, aged 88.
Born in Leicester, John joined the U's from Aston Villa in 1950 and went on to make over 200 appearances for Colchester United before retiring through injury.
He remained local in his post-football career and was recently a guest of the club for our home game against Port Vale.
John's connection to the club continues to this day, as his grandson Callum plays for the U's U21s side.
