R's Take The Points

14 December 2015

U21s fall to defeat on Monday.

Colchester United's U21s fell to a 5-2 defeat on Monday lunchtime, as a strong Queens Park Rangers side took the points.

Rangers went ahead in the first five minutes, as Axel Prohouly nodded home from a corner.

The U's drew level six minutes before the break as Macauley Bonne's run ended with Chris Regis slotting home to make it 1-1.

Parity didn't last for long, though, as Samba Diakite drove through midfield to score past James Bransgrove.

Two minutes after the break and Rangers went 3-1 ahead, as Joseph N'Guessan lobbed James Bransgrove to extend the R's advantage.

Three became four when goalscorers N'Guessan and Prohouly combined for the former to score.

The match saw Alex Wynter return to action, whilst Kane Vincent-Young also got further minutes under his belt.

Sammie Szmodics pulled one back to make it 4-2 not long afterwards, but it was Rangers who completed the scoring as Aaron Mitchell finished smartly to make it a 5-2 win for the West Londoners.
