Girls progress to next stage of Football League Girls Cup.
Tendring Technology College's girls football team moved a step closer to a day at Wembley on Friday, when they won the local round of the Football League Girls Cup.
The tournament, which took place on the brand new 3G surface at Shrub End, saw Tendring edge past Notley High School on penalties.
The games were watched by Colchester United midfielder Darren Ambrose, who was on hand to congratulate the winners for making progress.
Thirteen teams participated in the tournament, but it is Tendring who will move onto the regional stages, hoping that they can progress further and earn that day out at the national stadium.
