U's Head To Rochdale

18 December 2015

Brown continues caretaker stint.

Colchester United travel to Rochdale on Saturday, looking to get back to winning ways ahead of their Boxing Day clash with Southend.

Despite a spirited fightback against Barnsley last week, they ended up losing 3-2 against the Tykes.

However, they will head to Spotland at the weekend aiming to set things right and to climb up the League One table.

The match will see Alex Gilbey looking to add to his appearances total, having reached 100 first team appearances in the match against Barnsley last weekend.
But Sammie Szmodics will miss out after picking up an injury in the U21s defeat to QPR on Monday.

Meanwhile, Wayne Brown will continue to man the fort in a caretaker capacity, as the U's hunt for a permanent manager continues.

U's: Jones, Parish, Brindley, Eastman, Kent, Elokobi, Briggs, Vincent-Young, Gilbey, Lapslie, Edwards, Moncur, Sembie-Ferris, Dunne, Harriott, Massey, Sordell, Porter, Bonne
