Marcus' contract cancelled.
U's midfielder Marcus Bean has left the club.The thirty year old has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent, freeing him up to sign permanently for another club.
He joined the U's in the summer of 2012 and made over seventy appearances in just over two years in north Essex.
"He was always a great professional here and we would like to thank him for his contribution at the club and wish him well for the future."

U's boss Tony Humes said of the move: "Marcus wasn't getting the football he wanted here so it was the right thing to go out on loan initially.
That loan ended last weekend and talks on his return led to his departure from the U's.
His first team appearances were limited earlier in the season and he joined Portsmouth on loan in November.
