More success for U's Football in the Community programme.
And, on top of that, the U's coaches have provided twelve holiday courses based at primary schools in recent months.
Whilst working in around 60 primary schools as part of their weekly programmes, the Football in the Community team have delivered PPA and extra-curricular sessions in nine local schools.
Colchester United's Football In The Community programme has enjoyed a successful season delivering sessions to local schools.With the academic year nearly complete, FITC are now looking to deliverthe same numbers to schools from September onwards.
Football in the Community's Ben Elmer, who leads on this project, said: "It has been a great year working alongside new schools and delivering sessions to new areas of our community.
"We have had contact with many new faces and enabled a few to follow our exit route into a Development Centre."
"All children, whatever their ability, have gained so much from Ben's guidance."
And Mrs Key, teacher at St Luke's School Tiptree, said: "Hockey coaching this term has been brilliant, Ben has a great way with the children and they have all made huge progress, controlling the ball well and thoroughly enjoying the mini matches leading up to larger games as the weeks progressed.
