Town Take The Win

9 March 2015

Goal in each half enough to separate sides.

Ipswich Town came out on top in the U's latest U21s match, as they recorded a 2-0 win over Playford Road.

Recent addition Chris Wood broke the deadlock for the home team, scoring a header from a cross by an Alex Henshall cross.

It came after a strong start from the Tractor Boys, but Macauley Bonne also came close to scoring as he sent a header just past the post as the U's sought their first of the game.

At the start of the second half, U's loanee Jack Marriott struck a shot that went just over the crossbar, before Town went onto double their advantage.

Cameron Stewart embarked on a lengthy run down the right and cut inside to strike a long distance effort into the bottom corner to seal the win.
