Sad passing of former U's Scout.
Colchester United are saddened to hear of the passing of Andy King.
The U's former Scout, who worked under Aidy Boothroyd and John Ward, passed away on Wednesday following a heart attack.
After a successful playing career, including playing well over 200 games for Everton, Andy moved onto the sidelines.
He worked for the likes of Swindon, Everton and Sunderland before leaving Plymouth Argyle to join up with Boothroyd at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Continuing as a Scout for John Ward on Aidy's departure, Andy then left the U's to become Boothroyd's Assistant Manager at Northampton Town.

He joined Karl Robinson's MK Dons as Chief Scout earlier this year, helping the Dons win promotion to the Championship less than a month ago.
Our sincere condolences go to Andy's family and friends at this sad time.
