Fox Talks Continue

18 May 2015

U's hopeful of signature.

The U's are hoping to keep David Fox.

He captained the U’s to safety in the second half of the season and has been in talks with boss Tony Humes about extending his second spell in north Essex.

Contract discussions have been continuing with the experienced midfielder, who made 33 appearances in league and cup competition during the course of the 2014/15 campaign, which ended so positively in the last ten matches.

Talking about the negotiations with the thirty one year old, Humes said: “We have been speaking with David and hope that he is with us again next season.”

“He was a real leader for us, on and off the pitch, and is just the type of player we want here at the club.

“First of all, he is a talented footballer, but he also sets a great example to the young players here in terms of how to train, play, and live like a professional footballer.”
