With the first team's derby match just under a month away, the U's veterans team ran out winners in the weekend's Walking Football Tournament, held at Braintree.
Colchester United's Walking Football team got one over their Essex rivals Southend United in the latest round robin tournament.

Against stiff opposition with teams from Halstead, Manningtree, Chelmsford & North Weald, the U's side went into the last game with Southend knowing that a victory would secure top spot.
The U's clinched that overall victory, beating the Shrimpers 1-0, meaning the trophy was theirs!
