Academy Landmark

5 October 2015

Fifty first team appearances for Academy graduates this season.

Alex Gilbey and Macauley Bonne lead the way so far with ten appearances each, with seven Academy based players having made first team appearances so far this season.

And, with only thirteen games played so far this season, they're well on the way to exceeding last year's total of 122 (82 starts, 40 subs).

The trio's time on the pitch on Saturday meant that the U's Academy graduates have now hit 52 appearances in the first team since the start of the season (31 starts, 21 subs).

The weekend match at the Weston Homes Community Stadium saw Frankie Kent and Tosin Olufemi start the game, with Alex Gilbey introduced from the substitutes' bench in the second half.

Saturday's game against Bury saw the U's hit fifty first team appearances by Academy graduates already this season.
