Crowds On The Rise

28 October 2015

First eight games up on same time last year.

Colchester United's exciting brand of football has helped crowds continue to grow as the season takes shape.

The U's have lost just one of their first eight home games this season and have played some scintillating stuff.

The weekend 4-4 draw against Walsall has been typical of some edge of your seat football from Tony Humes' men.

And the early signs are good that the U's can celebrate three seasons in a row of crowd growth.

The crowds for the first eight games of the 2015/16 season are 5% up on the same period in 2014/15 and with big games against Coventry, Southend, Millwall, Sheffield United and Peterborough to follow, things are in good shape so far.

The Boxing Day game against Southend already looks like it will be close to sell out, with ticket sales already approaching the 5,000 mark.
