Early Signs Are Good

6 October 2015

Crowds on the rise in first six games.

Colchester United's crowds are up on the same time last year, as the U's positive start to the season has been reflected in ticket sales.

The U's started October in the top ten in League One and the fans are backing the boys as the 2015/16 campaign begins to take shape.

And, when comparing attendances for the first six games of the season compared to the first six of 2014/15, crowds are 6% higher.

The average attendances for the first six games of 2015/16 were 3,739 compared to 3,533 in 2014/15.

The South Stand has proven particularly popular in the early matches of the new season, with 1,046 on average in the South in the first six games compared to 879 for the first six last time out, a 19% rise.

With big games still to come against Southend, Millwall, Coventry, Sheffield United and Peterborough, there is a good chance that the crowds will continue to grow in the remainder of the season, particularly with the U's in free flowing form.

If you've been enthused by what you've seen so far this season, it's not too late to get a six or twelve game pack to reserve your seat for your chosen fixtures.

South Stand adult six game packs are only £104, so there's a great value day out on offer if you're ready to back Tony and the boys this season!
