Garvan's strike means ten outfield players now off the mark.
It took their seasonal tally in League One to 25, with only three teams having scored more so far this season.
It also meant that the U's have scored 26 goals in their last twelve games in all competitions, with Tony Humes' men hitting the back of the net twice or more in ten of their last dozen outings.
The burden of goalscoring has certainly been spread around, though.
With Owen Garvan getting the third on Saturday, ten of the U's outfield players have been on target this season - nearly half of the 22 who have taken to the pitch in matches in 2015/16.
The goalscorers have been:-
George Moncur 6
Marvin Sordell 4
Callum Harriot 3
Darren Ambrose 2
George Elokobi 2
Gavin Massey 2
Macauley Bonne 1 (+2 in the cups)
Tom Eastman 1
Owen Garvan 1
Alex Gilbey 1
The U's are next at home in League One action on Saturday November 14th, when they take on Coventry City.
