Time To Be Active!

9 September 2015

U's back European Week of Sport.

It's all about making it as easy as possible for people to #BeActive!

The first-ever European Week of Sport is being celebrated in 31 countries across Europe this week from 7th-13th September, and The Football League Trust is helping the UK lead from the front.

So far 100 events and counting, from sports taster sessions to organised walks, are being held across the length and breadth of the country.

Mini triathlons, multi sports fun days, a half marathon and bike rides are also happening.

Events can be organised by anyone and it’s easy to get involved – your event can be big or small and a new idea or something that will already be happening during the week.

Maybe you want to run a mini fitness class in a park or you have a passion for a sport that you'd like to encourage others to try.

The European Commission's aim is to get people active and whether you’re a member of a sport clubs, school, community group or just an individual with an idea, you can join in and make it a week to remember!
