U21s Fight Back

14 September 2015

Wilson grabs U's equaliser.

Whilst the visitors then continued to push with a man advantage, they were unable to find a second goal, but extended their recent run to 13 points in the first six games of the season.

Colchester drew themselves level midway through the second period, as left back JJ Wilson grabbed his first goal at U21s level to bring the U's all square.

The U's retained a foothold in the game and, like the first team on Saturday, they faced ten men in the second half when Wednesday had a man sent off.

The home side's goal came from a penalty kick on 29 minutes and they were to take that advantage into the half time interval.

Going into the game on the back of four successive wins, the U's found themselves trailing after half an hour at the Owls' training ground.

Colchester United U21s extended their unbeaten run to five games on Monday afternoon, as they fought back from a goal behind against Sheffield Wednesday.
