Colchester United have signed Marvin Sordell to bolster their forward lines.
Boss Tony Humes has been hunting for another striker this summer and captured the Premier League experienced Sordell on a permanent contract.
Despite still being only twenty-four, the former Watford trainee has made over 170 career appearances, the majority of which have been in the top two tiers of English football.
He was involved in Burnley's first four fixtures this season, but was released by the Clarets at the end of the summer transfer window.
