Central defender could move before window closes.
Colchester United have made central defender George Elokobi available for loan, with the transfer window two weeks away.
With no emergency loan window this year, all loan deals have to be concluded by the end of August, and the U's are hopeful of getting George some match action in the first half of the season.
Director of Football Tony Humes said: "The decision has been made to allow George to go out and get some games under his belt.
"We are well covered at centre half at the moment and so this gives him a chance to go and play."
George played nineteen games in his first season with the U's after returning last summer, but has yet to feature in the three matchday squads so far in 2016/17.
