So what happens on a Colchester United matchday at the Weston Homes Community Stadium?

So what happens on a Colchester United matchday at the Weston Homes Community Stadium?

We've got plenty going on each matchday, meaning that it's not just about the ninety minutes of high tempo, exciting football!

For a Saturday 3pm kick-off, here's what a typical matchday involves!

10am Ticket Office opens
Want to beat the queues and buy your tickets in advance? The U's Ticket Office is open from 10am on a matchday, so pop up and see us or call 0845 437 9089!

12.30pm Eddie's Nest opens!
Eddie's Nest is our special matchday room for kids of all ages to come and enjoy some free activities including playing on the Wii and PlayStation, colouring in competitions, meet the players and more.

1pm to 1.30pm The players arrive
The Colchester United players have to arrive at the stadium by 1.30pm for their pre-match meeting with the manager, so if you're around main reception at this time, you'll stand a great chance of getting your autographs!

1.30pm Activities get underway and turnstiles open
If you want to get your first glimpse of the pitch and sit in your seat, then turnstiles open at 1.30pm. At this time, you'll also be able to give the various matchday activities a go. There's generally a chance for you to show off your football skills or have a go at another sport!

1.45pm Live music begins
For as many matchdays as we can, we try and have a live band playing outside of the South Stand. These are usually local bands, so come and see them in action and grab yourself something to eat!

2.00pm Tweet from your Seat!
Back again in 2016/17, we're asking fans to tweet us at @ColU_Official with a picture of them in their seat. If you do, you might be lucky enough to enjoy an upgrade to watch the game next to the U's substitutes!

2.10pm Players warm up
The players will prepare themselves for action from around 10 past 2. If you want to watch them get ready and give them a cheer, be in your seat by this time.

2.45pm Teams go in
The teams will go in for their team talk at this time, so it's a great time for you to get settled into your seat as our PA Announcer Peter reads out the day's teams.

3.00pm Kick-off!
And then the fun and games gets started! Can the U's get the goals they need? It's time to find out - but be loud and proud in supporting them!

We hope you have a brilliant time at Colchester United!
