Primary Stars Tournament

8 December 2016

156 children show off their talents.

Colchester United Football in the Community hosted young footballers at Warrior's Rest and Shrub End at the end of November for two days of footballing fun.

On Monday 21st November, the U's community programme delivered a Premier League Primary Stars Festival at Warrior's Rest in Tiptree, for all Year 3 and 4 schools in the local area.

Eight teams attended our 3G indoor pitch in Tiptree, and it proved to be a great morning for all - and even Eddie the Eagle turned up to help out!

The U's coaches then delivered another festival on Tuesday 22nd November linked to the Primary Stars, this time at Shrub End, where we had 11 teams with children from year 5 and 6 participating.

Over the two days, Football in the Community delivered football festivals to 156 children, with plenty more planned as part of the Primary Stars programme.
