U's all set for Charlton cup tie.
Kevin Keen's men have beaten two non-league teams so far in the famous competition, but face a much more difficult proposition against the Championship side in the Third Round this weekend. The U's take on Charlton Athletic in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
Wealdstone and Altrincham were brushed aside prior to Keen's arrival so this clash against the Addicks will be his first cup game in charge of the U's.
He will pick from a similar squad to the one that battled to a well earned point at Oldham last weekend, but there were a couple of second half scares in that game at Boundary Park.
George Elokobi and Matt Briggs suffered injuries, but neither were ruled out when Keen spoke to the local press on Thursday.
He also announced on Thursday that the U's had signed keeper Jake Kean from Norwich on loan and the new stopper would start the game against Charlton.
Squad: Kean, Parish, Briggs, Vincent-Young, Brindley, Olufemi, Wynter, Elokobi, Kent, Eastman, Lapslie, Garvan, Edwards, Gilbey, Massey, Moncur, Wright, Ambrose, Porter, Bonne, Sordell
