Keen Excited With Draw

12 January 2016

...but looking first at Blades clash.

The draw on Monday night pitched the U's at home against either Tottenham Hotspur or Leicester City, following the win against Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

U's boss Kevin Keen is pleased that his side have been given a Premier League team in the FA Cup.Both are flying high at the top of the Premier League at the moment and Keen was understandably happy with the tie.

There was praise for the U's supporters as well, as Keen said: "A great performance was rewarded with a super result for us. The players did a fantastic job out on the pitch and the home support certainly made a difference on the day.

There was caution about focusing solely on cup commitments though, with the U's facing three league fixtures before the Fourth Round, starting with Sheffield United on Saturday.

"What an exciting tie we have been given. It doesn’t matter whether we get Tottenham or Leicester, it should be a game we can really look forward to at the end of the month."

"Our performances since I came in just before Christmas have been really encouraging and I’m sure that if we maintain those standards, the positive results will be forthcoming."

"It’s back to focussing on League One today though," continued Keen, "and a massively important game for us here this weekend.
