Front man keen to fire U's up the table.
Colchester United's latest signing Kurtis Guthrie is ready to get started with the U's and justify Head Coach John McGreal's faith in him.
Kurtis enjoyed a productive season with Forest Green Rovers last season as they pushed for promotion to the Football League.
With twelve goals under his belt last time out, he is now ready to test himself at league level.
He said: "I'm ready to get started now and can't wait to get going.

"I thought I had quite a good season and was obviously disappointed not to get promoted, but I'm ready to move on and push for promotion with Colchester now.
"It's a well known club with great facilities. I spoke to a few players in the game and they all said it would be a good move for me."
Kurtis provides the U's with yet another attacking thrust, and he believes his versatility will mean he will be a valuable asset for John McGreal in League Two next season.

He said: "I feel more than ready to test myself at this level and, from what the manager has told me, he thinks I can do big things for him.
"He's told me he can see me in the number 10 role as well as a striker, and I am ready to work hard for the team."
