Midfielder joins Saddlers on a free transfer.
Colchester United midfielder Joe Edwards has completed a move to League One side Walsall.
The 25-year-old's initial one year contract with the U's was set to expire at the end of June and he will sign for the Saddlers on a free transfer upon the end of that deal.
Joe, who also played at right back in the second half of the season, appeared in 42 league games and three cup matches in his year in north Essex.
Meanwhile, former loanee Elliot Lee has teamed up with ex-U's teammate George Moncur at Barnsley.
He was chosen as Players' Player of the Year by his peers in the End of Season awards.
