McGreal to take squad away for pre-season
The U's squad will spend time in pre-season in the North West.
John McGreal and the players will head up to Carden Park near Chester for a few days as they prepare for the new EFL League Two campaign.
And the U's Head Coach believes it will be a good bonding exercise in the early days of the build-up to the season itself.
"It's something different, I always used to do as a player and it's a great way to get the group together in a different environment.
"They'll be living in each other's pockets and the younger lads will mix more with the older more experienced guys so the squad should get closer.
"We have lost a few, who we're aiming to replace, and we'll have a few new faces in the squad, so this is an ideal way for everyone to bond quickly and get to know each other better."
