Central defender signs for the U's.
Colchester United are pleased to confirm the signature of Dexter Peter.
The 19-year-old centre half played a number of games on trial for the U's successful U21s in the second half of last season and has impressed enough to be given a one year contract.
The deal was agreed at the end of the 2015/16 campaign and he will officially become a U's player on July 1st.
Like Tuesday's arrival Courtney Senior, Dexter will be eligible for both the U21s and first team squad.
Dexter was previously at Millwall but was released in early 2015. He had a spell at nearby Chelmsford City last season but will now look to progress with the U's in 2016/17.
