A Fun Day For All

U's host Women's Refuge visit.

Colchester United threw open the doors to the Weston Homes Community Stadium during the February half term to young football fans and their mums.

The U's Football in the Community team welcomed a group from the Colchester & Tendring Women's Refuge for an activities day at the home of the U's.

Football training, a design the boot competition, a stadium tour and aerobics with Eddie the Eagle were all on the agenda on a fun day for all concerned.

The visit was the first of a number planned by the Refuge this year and the U's are looking forward to welcoming them back in the coming months.

There was some great feedback from the group, including:-
