Young fans face exciting challenge.

.Young football fans from Colchester United and Doncaster Rovers will go head to head in a series of exciting challenges as the two teams battle off the pitch as well as on it on Friday afternoon

Colchester United and their Easter opponents are regarded as being among the front runners in family engagement in the Football League – the U's are currently Family Club of the Year and Rovers are in this year's top six ahead of the 2016 awards ceremony in April.

And Friday's 'Team Col U v Team Rovers' head to head will be another example of why the two teams are well thought of when it comes to looking after the fans of the future.

From just after lunchtime on Friday, the two teams of six young fans will face each other in the battle to score the most points for their favourite club.

By the time the full time whistle is blown on the crunch League One game, one team of youngsters will have claimed the off the pitch acclaim for their side!

The two teams are as follows:-

Sammy Tarrier, Finley Scott, Stanley English, Mike Adlem, Tom Adlem, Harry Foakes

Team Rovers
Jake Bishop, Sam Parry, Owen White, Bailey Vickerage, Jake Vickerage, Keigan Vickerage

The challenges that the teams will face include:-

1) A six-a-side game on the astroturf pitches at WHCS
2) A penalty shoot out in front of the watching crowd at half time
3) A club crest treasure hunt – which of the two teams can find the six hidden club crests on the seats at WHCS first?

There will also be other mystery challenges that will be sprung on the teams on the day!

It is hoped that the battle between the young fans will inspire other clubs to do similar and further encourage supporters of the future to head to away games whilst backing their favourite team.
