Louis Gets Irish Call

Youngster to face England U18s.

Colchester United youngster Louis Dunne will be away with Ireland this weekend, after he received a call-up for the Ireland U18s.

The attacking player recently made his first team debut in the match against Wigan Athletic, as he continues to have an impressive season.

And now he will face England U18s in a friendly match at St George's Park this Sunday.

Speaking to the FAI website, manager Paul Doolin said: "It's a good game for the players born in 1998. We had the games against the Czech Republic before Christmas and we've a lot of similar players involved plus some new ones.

"They played each other in the UEFA U17s Finals in Bulgaria last year but both sides have a few new faces involved. It'll be a tough game and good test for the players.

We wish Louis all the best and we'll update you on the game at the start of next week.

"We'll prepare, train and do the analysis the same way as we would for a competitive game. I wouldn't expect anything less from myself or the staff. It's an opportunity for players to get a good experience at this level of the game."
