Roman Coaches back U's community programme.
Colchester United are delighted to confirm that Roman Coaches will be sponsoring the club's hugely successful Football in the Community programme for the 2016/17 season.
The move sees the company extend their association with the U's, with Roman Cars sponsoring the North Stand and back of the first team shirts, whilst Roman Coaches were recently confirmed as providing transport for the first team to all away matches next season.
John Moss from Roman Coaches said: "Out of all of the sponsorships and involvement we have with the club, we are especially proud and honoured to sponsor the Football in the Community and to play our part in developing the fans and players of the future.
"Having being involved as sponsors for the past two years, we are committed to a long term partnership with Colchester United and see the Football In The Community scheme as a fantastic opportunity to be involved from the grass roots through to the U's first team players."
Colchester United's FITC scheme recently celebrated its third birthday with a Football in the Community Day at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, an event that saw around 1,400 children enjoy a day out for the U's match against Peterborough.
Roman Coaches provided transport to the game for some of the children in attendance and Corin Haines, the U's Community Manager, is delighted to be developing the relationship with the Colchester based company.
He said: "We are pleased to have secured this sponsorship support from Roman Coaches. Both organisations have a common goal in servicing its members in the community, whilst offering a high quality service.
"We look forward to working in partnership in the coming years."
Colchester United Football in the Community programme has had huge growth in its three years to date and now delivers 385 hours of provision a week to over 6,500 participants, using the power of sport to improve people’s lives.
The School Sports Programme now works with 65 local schools a week and the U's now run the very successful Shrub End Community & Sports Centre.
With Roman Coaches now confirmed as the main sponsor of the Football in the Community Scheme, we are now also looking for Associate Sponsors, with packages available for just £1,000 +VAT.

- Perimeter board on one of the 5 a-side pitches at the WHCS
- Logo on FITC pages in every match day programme
- 20 x U14s match tickets to distribute to a school or club of your choice (PR to be arranged by CUFC)
