U's team reaches national finals.
Colchester United Walking Football Team enjoyed a successful weekend, having won their way through to the National Finals of The Football League Trust Tournament.
The Regional Finals were held at Luton on Sunday and the U's veterans won without losing a game.
The day got underway with three leagues of five teams from:-
Wycombe Wanderers
Northampton Town
Stevenage Borough
Leyton Orient
Reading
Oxford United
Peterborough United
Crawley Town
Southend United
Luton Town (2 teams)
AFC Wimbledon
Charlton Athletic
Barnet
The U's won every league game against Crawley Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Northampton Town and Charlton Athletic to go into a Round Robin final.
That Round Robin final saw them take on Southend United and Leyton Orient.

The U's beat Southend 2 - 1 and then Leyton Orient 2-0 to become the Southern/East Anglia Champions and now progress to the national finals at St George's Park.
