Loan Watch

31 October 2016

We take a look at how our quartet of loanees fared on Saturday.

Four of the U's young players were in action with their loan clubs at the weekend.

Femi Akinwande completed ninety minutes on Saturday with Bishops Stortford in a physically competitive match with Eastbourne Borough.

Despite his best endeavours, Stortford lost 1-0 at the weekend as they slipped to the bottom of the Conference South table.

Also in the Conference South, Ben Wyatt was an unused sub for Concord Rangers at the weekend as they fought back to pick up a useful point at high flying Chelmsford City.

And, as the U's prepare for FA Cup action this weekend, two of their young players were competing in the FA Trophy on Saturday.

Jack Curtis played 80 minutes and Callum Harrison 32 after being introduced off the bench for Needham Market, as they saw off Wroxham in the FA Trophy.
