Luke Pays A Visit

14 October 2016

Skipper meets Walking Football team.

Colchester United captain Luke Prosser dropped in to see the U's Walking Football team on Thursday.

The U's Walking Football side have enjoyed plenty of success in the last year, and reached national finals at the end of last season.

The players got to meet Luke as he visited their latest training session and the Colchester skipper watched the hour's activities as they prepare for upcoming matches.

Colin Clarke, a regular in the team, told us: "The players were genuinely thrilled that Luke came to last night’s training session and that he stayed for the complete hour, so thanks to Ben Elmer for setting this up.

"I gave an update and overview of the group and Luke was suitably impressed that we are the current East Anglian/London/South East EFL (FLT) Champions!

"Luke was also extremely impressed with the standard of the football and stated that he would try to come and watch a competitive game.

"We did explain that training games and competitive are very different due to the level of contact!"
