Young Colchester United duo Chris Regis and Tariq Issa have been called up to the U's squad for their match against Southampton U23s on Tuesday night.
Both have played well in recent weeks in the U's own U23s and get a taste of a first team matchday on Tuesday.
Chris will wear 38 and Tariq 46 for the remainder of this season.
The U's have named a strong squad to take on the Saints in their second Checkatrade Trophy group game, as they look to get points on the board following their defeat against Crawley first time out.
But, despite two games where he got minutes under his belt for the U's U23s, the game has come too soon for Frankie Kent.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm and tickets are just £10 for adults on Tuesday night.
