Internationals Return

9 September 2016

Trio return for Blackpool test.

U's: Walker, Bransgrove, Vincent-Young, Brindley, Kinsella, Eastman, Wynter, Prosser, Lapslie, Slater, Kamara, Wright, Sembie-Ferris, Szmodics, Guthrie, Fosu, Dickenson, Porter, Johnstone

Matt Briggs, Frankie Kent and Owen Garvan also miss out, although Garvan is building things up in the U23s games as he returns to full fitness.

The experienced playmaker has suffered an Achilles injury that will keep him out for up to three months.

Whilst Slater and Arsenal youngster Kamara will be hoping to start on Saturday, fellow midfielder Doug Loft will miss out.

The U's sit two points and four places above Blackpool, and will be hoping to add a third home win to the victories they achieved against Cambridge and Grimsby at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Slater and Bransgrove were both on the U's bench before they headed to Scotland, but they will be hoping that international recognition boosts their chance of a place in John McGreal's starting eleven.

All three missed the U's game against Exeter but are included in the squad for this weekend's fixture against the Tangerines.

Craig Slater and James Bransgrove have been away with the Scotland U21s, whilst loanee Glen Kamara was with the Finland U21s. The U's face Blackpool on  Saturday, buoyed by the availability of three international players.
